The shipment of Oukitel EP2500 Balcony Solar System 2500W | 2048Wh + EP2000 arrived very quickly 19 days ago in 2 well-packed packages. After opening the package and the initial electrical installation, I easily connected the SOLAR SYSTEM to my mobile phone via the SmartLife application. For input, I used a 500W, 36.6V PV panel at idle during a completely sunny day. So far, I have tried it with the PV panel (Off Grid status, battery charging and powering consumers) and found that it works correctly. The On grid status does not appear on the display nor did I notice that the energy goes to the grid, although working Mode 1 was turned on for Grid Priority. For enabled Backup Mode, the battery is charged from the grid.
Unfortunately, all this is not accompanied by a complete user manual with the necessary explanations, Nowhere did he describe how to communicate and use the Smart Meter (what is the password for WiFi, is it WiFi name: serial number 26051104200047?) and how it manages the operation of the solar system. I have not been able to find instructions on how to communicate with the Smart Meter (it came without a user manual) with the EP2500.
- So far I have used 4 microinverters on grid (with 8x 280W PV panels) and I plan to connect them to the EP2500 and store the energy obtained in batteries. What to watch out for in this connection? From the attached instructions, it is not clear to me whether solar inputs on the EP2500 can be used in addition to microinverters and with what restrictions.
I tried to contact the Oukitel customer service [****] (27/08/2026) to resolve the above issues, but until today (09/09/2026) I have not received any response, which is very disappointing. An expanded edition of the user's manual would certainly be useful, in which the aforementioned ambiguities of the communication connection of the Smart Meter with the EP2500 and the possibilities and method of using the Smart Meter in the EP2500 system would be clarified. What needs to be done, and what are the conditions to turn on Grid Mode and enable energy exchange between the EP2500 system and the grid. Given that this is a new product, such omissions are understandable and I trust that Oukitel will acknowledge these shortcomings of the user manual and add the necessary clarifications and expand the user manual so that the usability of this great product can be fully utilized.
